sprallig

This is my bike.

I shouldn’t love things, but this an exception. God said so. I haven’t liked a bike this much since I was five years old.  It’s really fun.

I learned I have to stay out of the grass with it. The slick(ish) tires are really thin, and stickers will work their way into the tube if you don’t get them out quickly.

I don’t normally name my bikes. But this one needs a name. For now she’s Sprallig:

Emily wears the door

Filed under: Entries, Random Austin Moment, with the boys — .j. @ 2:22 am

A while ago I installed a dog/cat door for my dog Nellie.  My other, much larger dog Emily decided she was going to go through it as well.  She’s a bit too large for that kind of thing, but she didn’t let that stop her.

Mizzy

Note: Coined by my friend Mandie- not me.. but still, had to post it. I get partial credit for showing her a picture of how I felt, and she said.. that’s it! That’s Mizzy! So, the definition (hers) and the imagery to match (a picture of my tree in the back yard) for your consideration:

Mizzy
Adjective

Frazzled, unfocused, out of sorts, and melancholy.

and if that’s not sap enough, here’s some overly moody pictures I took back in February on my trip to San Francisco.

Yes, it was a mizzy February.  Here’s the entire gothfrancisco slide show if you can handle that kind of thing.

Sportsie

Adjective

Sportsie is a very fancy version of sporty. This picture (thanks to Mandie) is a perfect example of what sportsie means. Essentially it is what happens when a lot of time and energy is dedicated to the “image” part of being healthy, to the point of becoming sportsie.
